One of the greatest imperatives of academic bodies today is go beyond textbooks and impart education that can make a student wise, skilled and responsible.

This is where India is uniquely positioned to provide global academic bodies with plenty of opportunities to transform the talent pool of institutions. India offers numerous opportunities from academic standpoint - rich culture and ethnicity that can provide enough food for thought for anthropology enthusiasts; a thriving film industry for media students; countless art and music forms for art students; a surprisingly old and history spanning 8000 years for history enthusiasts; a booming economy for management students and numerous social and healthcare challenges for passionate humanitarians to address. The list goes on.

Our endeavor has been to help academic bodies achieve the aforementioned imperative by leveraging the best of what India has to offer. Our programs are designed in a manner to not only provide rich academic experiences, but also allow students to constantly challenge themselves in many new and exciting ways and gain a level of independence they never knew they had. In all our programs, we ensure that students just don't get "well informed", but they experience India in a way that leaves them inspired and empowered.

To organize such programs, we typically work closely with faculty representatives towards creating programs that can achieve the set objectives in given timeline, whether it includes a general orientation to India or taking a deep dive into a specific area of India's history, culture, business etc. or taking a transformative volunteering experience. The programs are either independently led by Indian Experts in various fields or by college faculty with the help of our resources, expertise and infrastructure.

  • India Turnaround Project

    India Turnaround Project

    India Turnaround Project is a landmark opportunity for students belonging to the field of management, education, social work, and other academic areas where leadership skills matter. In collaboration with the faculty from the partnering institute, IFT team identifies a project in India in a related area of study and designs a scope of work that best suits the academic requirement of the students and the project partner. For ex, enabling social sector students to transform an NGO in distress or providing the opportunity to MBA students to turnaround a small sized business organization in crisis.

    All these projects are completed under the mentorship of IFT's empanelled sector experts with extensive experience in the field of change management, community empowerment, and entrepreneurial development.

  • 8000 Years in 15 days

    8000 Years in 15 days

    Inspired by one of 7p4c's pit-stops, this is a 15-day travel program developed for students who are keen on discovering India's story of transformation spread over 8000 years. This program was created for students focusing on India studies and it provides a much more experiential alternative to the traditional field trips undertaken to understand Indian history and culture. During these two weeks, participants travel all across India as part of fun-filled, enriching and interactive adventure, where they get to live and experience India's journey through mythological legends, spiritual and scientific achievements of Vedic times, artistic feats of Mughal era, sudden fall during colonialization and a rather surprising rise in last century.

    Throughout the journey, focus is not on throwing tonnes of information about India's history as the group moves along. Rather, our focus is to create an engaging environment for students to discover India with their own efforts, along with the help of experienced Historians and culture enthusiasts.

  • India Immersion Program for MBA Students

    India Immersion Program for MBA Students

    This is an India orientation program with a difference, where experience is not just purely informational / interactive. This program was coined to extend the level of impact of existing orientation programs on India, where exposure is limited to visiting cultural spots, and interacting with a few representatives from social, business and political arenas of the country.

    Our objective is to supplement the aforementioned basics with varied short-term leadership assignments in close association with some of India's leading think-tanks, corporates and cultural organizations. Focus is on showcasing India's business side in an experiential manner as well as creating a generation of truly global leaders who could possibly fill the deficit of leadership in India Inc. in future.

  • India Healthcare Expedition

    India Healthcare Expedition

    India Healthcare Expedition is an enriching opportunity for students who are keen on building global exposure in the field of healthcare and life sciences. Under this expedition, participants travel across India navigating through the country's varied healthcare challenges including inadequate infrastructure, poverty, lack of health awareness and widespread inefficiencies in the public sector.

    That's not all, the journey ends with students undergoing a real life healthcare project, wherein they get to experience such challenges in depth and get the opportunity to make a tangible contribution in an Indian set up. The expedition is led by IFT's empanelled sector experts with extensive experience in the field of healthcare and management.
